CUBE

CUBE :

1.       From your Info area select option CREATE INFO CUBE from context menu.

2.       Give the required Technical and Description for the object and choose CONTINUE.

3.       For template of DSO based on which you are going to create  CUBE, choose DSO symbol.

4.       You will see all the Info providers from your Info Area. Double click on the DSO.

5.       Now you have all the objects of DSO in the middle of the screen.

6.       Since CUBE  is going to be based on reporting requirement ,

you need to group them accordingly and create that number of DIMENSIONS.

Create necessary Dimensions and change the name of the default Dimension.

 
7.  Drag the Characteristics from the DSO Template into the respective DIMENSIONS. 

8.   Drag the required KEY FIGURES  to Key Figure folder under dimensions.

9.       Now we need Time  Characteristics like FISCAL PERIOD/FISCAL YEAR/

CAL MONTH etc ,for this insert them to Time Dimension as they are not available in DSO(Mostly)

10.   If you need any NAVIGATIONAL ATTRIBUTES part of reporting requirement, choose them Under   Navigational Attributes

folder. (Don’t check unnecessarily if not required).

Finally looks like..

11.   Activate the Cube.

12.   Now choose Create Transformation Option from context menu

of the cube you just created above.

13.   Choose Datastore as Object type and give your DSO name .Press Continue.

14.   This will propose mappings for most of them except for Time Characteristic you inserted earlier.

15.   Map them to Posting Date/Document Date from the left side. Preferably Posting Date.

16. Activate the Transformation.

17. Create DTP and execute the same. (You don’t need Info package as data is existed in BI).

18. Once you Data is loaded, you can view the data using T.Code  /nLISTCUBE .
